Crille Forsberg - Bio / Resume

Cinematographer Crille Forsberg’s unique background as a former professional free skier in Chamonix, France, informs his work with a deeply kinesthetic and intuitive sense for movement and form. Incorporating dynamic camera movement and natural distinct lighting into his visual style, Crille has worked successfully for over 30 years in film, television, commercials and music videos.

Forsberg recently lensed “Finestkind”, directed by Brian Helgeland and starring Jenna Ortega and Tommy Lee Jones – featuring a backdrop of the commercial fishing industry and about two brothers forced to strike a deal with a violent Boston crime gang. The film is set to premiere at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival on September 8 and to be released on Paramount+.  Forsberg finished a Warner Bros. six-part biopic series, currently in post-production, on Swedish ice hockey legend, Toronto Maple Leafs Defenseman Börje Salming, starring Jason Priestley as Gerry McNamara, the legendary Toronto Maple Leafs talent scout who discovered Salming, Paul Kelly, and Valter Skarsgård.

Other recent projects include HBO Max’s successful “Gossip Girl” reboot and Mary Harron’s intense crime drama “Charlie Says”, featuring Sosie Bacon, Suki Waterhouse & Matt Smith which was nominated for the Venice Horizons Award at the 2018 Venice Film Festival.  Crille has become known for his vibrant and iconic music videos, such as David Bowie’s Lazarus; Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk; Adele’s Sending my love; and Christine & The Queens La Vita Nuova.  Commercial clients include Apple, Amazon, Polestar, & L’Oréal Paris.  He has been awarded the Kodak Vision Award at MOMA for best commercial cinematography and the Kodak Nordic Award for Best Cinematography at the Gothenburg International Film Festival.

Crille is fluent in French, English & Swedish.

Crille currently splits his time between his homes in Stockholm and Venice Beach, California.
