Crille Forsberg - Bio / Resume

Crille Forsberg’s cinematographic style is profoundly shaped by his background as a professional free skier in Chamonix, France. This unique experience endows him with a kinesthetic and intuitive approach to movement and form. Forsberg is renowned for his swift lighting setups and discreet presence on set, allowing actors to move freely within his lighting schemes and fostering a collaborative environment between director and actors. His proficiency with Operating his Steadicam further enhances the efficiency of shooting dialogue scenes, granting directors and actors complete creative freedom.

With extensive experience in film, television, and music videos, Forsberg’s visual style features dynamic camera movements and distinct natural lighting, showcasing his deep understanding of both the physical dynamics and artistic aspects of cinematography.

Crille Forsberg's recent work includes “Finestkind,” directed by Brian Helgeland, featuring Jenna Ortega, Toby Wallace, Ben Foster, and Tommy Lee Jones. Set in the commercial fishing industry, the film follows two brothers entangled with a violent Boston crime gang. It premiered at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival and has been a top streamer on Paramount+ since its November 2023 release. Forsberg also filmed the Warner Bros. six-part biopic series on Swedish ice hockey legend Börje Salming, starring Jason Priestley as Gerry McNamara, the Toronto Maple Leafs talent scout who discovered Salming. The miniseries is currently streaming on Prime Video and Viaplay.

Other recent projects include UBER's 2024 Olympic Games commercials, the successful HBO Max reboot of “Gossip Girl,” and Mary Harron’s acclaimed crime drama “Charlie Says,” featuring Sosie Bacon, Suki Waterhouse, and Matt Smith, which was nominated for the Venice Horizons Award. Crille is also recognized for vibrant music videos, including David Bowie’s Lazarus and Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk, as well as Christine and the Queens’ La Vita Nuova, celebrating strong and feminist themes. His commercial clients include Apple, Amazon, Polestar, and L’Oréal Paris. He has received the Kodak Vision Award at MoMA for best commercial cinematography and the Kodak Nordic Award at the Gothenburg International Film Festival.

Crille is fluent in French, English & Swedish.

Crille currently splits his time between his homes in Stockholm and Venice Beach, California.
